I'm trying to use Google Hangouts on Chromium in a linux system running xpra.
It's not possible to use the microphone device because the microphone device is created as a pulseaudio output device rather than input device.
Attached screenshots illustrate the problem.
pavucontrol displays the "Xpra Microphone" device in the "Output Devices" section. Thus the Hangouts plugin does not detect that a microphone is available because the Input Devices section is empty.
There may well be bugs in this feature, see #1141, #1219.
But this is not what I am seeing when I test: I get one input and one output device shown in pavucontrol.
Please provide more details, see wiki/ReportingBugs for general guidelines, and try to also include:
pactl list
output from within the session
pavucontrol
screenshots of output and input devices
xpra showconfig
etc..
Please see comment:1
Never mind. I'll find some other solution instead of xpra.
Good luck!
