Xpra crashes in x264_cqm_init
, when attaching with x264 encoding. Happened with xpra 0.10.6 and also with 0.10.8. Other encodings like png are ok.

Thanks, I hit that same bug yesterday.
Unless someone from Ubuntu land can figure out what they do different (it works on every other platform, of which there are dozens, including osx and win32), I think I'll just disable x264 for Ubuntu.
I am Tired of fixing Ubuntu only breakage.

Is this still a problem? I've just updated my test VM and it no longer crashes with 0.10.8.
I also came across these bug reports which imply that this problem is not limited to xpra:
- vlc ticket 9712: "ubuntu saucy package of vlc uses sse3 instructions to transcode on cpu that does not support them"

Clearly an Ubuntu bug: Ubuntu x264 bug 1241772, so closing as invalid.

Some more details: I'm on Ubuntu 13.10 and I connected with a Windows client. The client had the same version as the server.
