1 Actually, I just realized that the version that is working (0.14.11-r8096) does not have the OpenGL menu entry. As can be seen on [[Image(session-info-0.14.11-r8096.png)]], for "Client OpenGL" I get "cannot import name memoryview_to_bytes". Does that mean that OpenGL is not enabled and hence, it works?

3 By contrast, if I now switch to 0.14.12-r8135 again, I get the screenshot [[Image(session-info-0.14.12-r8135.png)]]. OpenGL says now "Double buffering" ... and the problem occurs.

513Independently from that, it seems that the problem is unrelated to the codec. And in particular #717 because I never used JPG encoding. I always use plain RGB. I just tried toggling different codecs, the problem stays the same.
